Empowering Kids to Choose Success

The Carvajalino Sisters
If you start with $15, how soon will you achieve international fame and financial success?
Thirteen years would be pretty fast. Daniela, Stephanie, and Karen Carvajalino have done just that.
The kicker? Today, these sisters are only 19, 20, and 21 years old.
Do the math and you’ll start to wonder how anyone could start a business at age 6, 7, and 8, respectively.
They did it with a lot of encouragement from their parents, that’s how. With just $15, these 3 sisters from Cartagena, Columbia bought a pound of chocolate and a big melting pot. They started making chocolates in their kitchen and proceeded to sell it door-to-door to their neighbors.
They named their business Chococar, and within 3 years – at the ripe old ages of 9, 10, and 11 – they hired an employee to handle the increasing demand.
Today, the energetic millennials are published authors, coveted speakers, savvy financial investors, and caring philanthropists. They’ll tell you that their success comes from a deep foundation of parental support that started at a very young age.
The key to entrepreneurial success, according to the youngest Carvajalino sister, Daniela, is finding the courage to start and leaving all of your excuses behind. Daniela says that everyone has a passion in life, even if they haven’t quite discovered it yet. Unleash that passion and believe in yourself, she says, and you’re on your way.
