Lean Expert Helps Improve Productivity
Jacob Stoller knows what it takes to run a lean and effective company. He has traveled the world interviewing CEOs from 28 different countries. The journalist and author is sharing what he has learned in “The Lean CEO: Leading the Way to World-Class Excellence,” his newest book, which bridges the gap between Lean experts and the general business community.
Stoller interviewed executives in a variety of industries. He talked to them about “Lean Thinking,” the business methodology term coined by James P. Womack and Daniel T. Jones to capture the essence of Toyota’s production system. Stoller has examined how CEOs get exposed to Lean Thinking, why humility is important, and reasons why not all CEOs embrace Lean.
Jacob is a writer and facilitator specializing in communication between experts and outsiders in areas such as Lean management, information technology, accounting, and engineering. He is often consulted by the business press, and offers consultation through a variety of events in Canada and the U.S. His clients have included Microsoft, Dell Computer, Staples, Pitney Bowes, International Data Corporation (IDC), CMA Canada, and the Conference Board of Canada.
