10 Foods That Fight Stress
You may not always remember that it is very important to eat healthy foods every day. While it is not always possible to consume a completely balanced diet, you can lower your stress levels by deciding to eat stress-fighting foods.
Every person has different needs, so foods that alleviate stress for some people may not necessarily relieve your anxiety. Your best chance is to give them all a try and stick to the ones that work for you by incorporating them into your usual diet.
The following foods may assist you in eliminating some of your stress:
- Green leafy lettuce, such as Romaine lettuce, kale, collard greens, and spinach. You can find a lot of magnesium in leafy greens. The mineral magnesium helps your muscles to loosen up and relax.

However, one word of caution is that it is not always easy for you to limit the amount of wine you drink to a single glass. Wine is loaded with beneficial antioxidants and can temporarily lower blood pressure levels and assist you in relaxing.
- Oatmeal and oat bran cereals. If you eat oatmeal and other complex carbohydrates, your brain can develop higher levels of beneficial serotonin.
